Form Endüstri Tesisleri Provides Natural Lighting Solution for Erbil International Cargo Terminal

Form Endüstri Tesisleri's domestically produced natural lighting system Sunviatube has been used in the Erbil International Cargo Terminal Project in Iraq. As part of the project, 83 units of the SVT-550 mm capacity system, installed across different operational areas of the terminal, carry daylight into the building's deep interior spaces, providing natural lighting.
Form Endüstri Tesisleri' domestically manufactured natural lighting system Sunviatube has been deployed in the Erbil International Cargo Terminal Project in Iraq. Within the project scope, 83 SVT-550 mm capacity systems installed in different operational areas of the terminal provide natural lighting by conveying daylight into the deep interior spaces of the building.
Sunviatube systems have been applied in the terminal's import sorting, export load preparation, and customs areas, with the goal of brightening working environments by delivering daylight to interior spaces throughout the day. Operating without consuming electrical energy, the system contributes to energy efficiency and sustainable building applications.

Daylight conveyed to interior spaces with high reflectivity
Effective use of natural lighting in large-volume airports, logistics centers, warehouses and manufacturing facilities is important from an energy efficiency perspective. High-performance reflective channels used in Sunviatube systems enable daylight to be transmitted over long distances with minimal loss, thanks to reflectivity values reaching 99 percent.
The system creates balanced lighting in interior spaces where natural light is difficult to reach, and with its UV-filtering structure, it reduces glare and contributes to improved visual comfort in working environments.
Supporting energy efficiency in logistics structures
The Sunviatube natural lighting system reduces the need for artificial lighting during daytime hours, thereby contributing to lower electricity consumption. Its maintenance-free design, long service life, and zero energy consumption during operation distinguish it among alternative solutions for sustainable building projects.
The application realized at Erbil International Cargo Terminal is among example projects demonstrating the contributions of natural lighting systems to energy efficiency, sustainability, and worker comfort in logistics facilities.
