ETİ Gıda Receives Advanced Special Award for TPM Achievement from Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance

ETİ Gıda continues production at world standards while raising efficiency to the highest level.

ETİ's Cake, Chocolate and Biscuit Plants have received the "Advanced Special Award for TPM Achievement" in the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Awards organised by the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance (JIPM) since 1971.

ETİ, which has worked in the field of "Total Productive Maintenance," an original Japanese management system, for 15 years, received the "Advanced Special Award for TPM Achievement," the highest level prior to WCM (World Class Manufacturing), at a ceremony held in Kyoto, Japan. The award was presented on behalf of ETİ Gıda to Murat Çamkoru, Senior Manager for WCM.

Target: Reaching WCM Level by 2020

ETİ, producing at world standards, has succeeded in winning 17 awards from JIPM in the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) field through its efficiency-focused efforts.

Through continuous improvement and development, ETİ aims to reach WCM (World Class Manufacturing) level, the highest level of TPM, by 2020 through its work across three plants: Cake, Chocolate and Biscuit.

Productivity Increased; Contribution to Economy Achieved

With the "Advanced Special Award for TPM Achievement," ETİ advanced its Cake, Chocolate and Biscuit Plants to the fourth level and achieved significant concrete results.

Thanks to TPM practices that became an integral part of the company culture, production volume at its three largest plants tripled while productivity increased by 44%, OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) by 12%, and suggestion numbers by nine times.

Customer complaints decreased by 47%, while equipment failures at the plants decreased by 87% and accidents by 72%. In terms of energy consumption, factory efficiency was improved and energy consumption per unit fell by 22%.
