Ministry of Environment and Urbanization Launches Ecological Urban Design Competition
The "Ecological Urban Design Competition" organized by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization ended on 30 June 2015.
The "Ecological Urban Design Competition" organized by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization has been extended until 30 June 2015. Students placing in the competition will receive a total of TRY 154,000 in awards.
On the instruction of Minister Güllüce, a project was launched among university students to raise awareness of the "environment." The "Ecological Urban Design Competition," which will focus on ecology and urban design, will distribute a total of TRY 154,000 in awards to students placing in the competition.
Ministry of Environment and Urbanization Holds "Ecological Urban Design Competition"
In the Ecological Urban Design Competition, which will address ecology, social life, and the reflection of culture in space, the first-place winner will receive TRY 40,000, the second place will receive TRY 30,000, and the third place will receive TRY 20,000. Additionally, 8 groups will receive TRY 8,000 each in honorable mention awards.
The jury will consist of ministry officials, academics, and specialists devoted to ecology and urban design. Third and fourth-year undergraduate students from city and regional planning, landscape architecture, architecture, and urban design – landscape architecture departments at Turkish universities may participate individually or as groups.
Pre-registration Open Until 30 June
Students may register online at the competition website (www.ekokentyarismasi.com) until 30 June 2015, after which they must submit their boards and presentations to the ministry by 28 August 2015.
