Boğaziçi Teknopark Invites Entrepreneurs and R&D Companies

Boğaziçi University Technopark continues supporting advanced technology and R&D-focused projects by bringing together academic expertise with innovative ventures.
Within the project scope, the technopark is inviting R&D companies and innovative startups to join its ecosystem. Boğaziçi University Technopark General Director Dr. Cem Duran, noting that they continue to grow with the aim of creating a total innovation ecosystem of 150,000 m² with new facilities operating at the North Campus and Kandilli Campus, stated: "We are working with determination to support innovative ideas and open new horizons for scientific research. In this context, Boğaziçi Technopark offers R&D companies the opportunity to benefit from Boğaziçi University's academic strength and advanced laboratory and technological infrastructure. We invite R&D companies and entrepreneurs who want to contribute to sustainable economic development at national and international levels and be pioneers in technology development processes to join us."
Boğaziçi Technopark, which encourages R&D activities with Boğaziçi University's deep-rooted history and strong infrastructure, aims to play a pioneering role in advanced technology. The technopark has hosted 740 projects to date with 44 R&D and 16 startup companies within its ecosystem. With its 14-year history of supporting innovative ventures, Boğaziçi Technopark, through its expanding facilities at the North Campus and Kandilli Campus, enables companies to develop innovative solutions and strengthen their R&D activities. Additionally, many important centers such as Boğaziçi University's Life Sciences and Technologies Application and Research Center (LifeSci) and advanced technology infrastructure provide major advantages for R&D companies.

Boğaziçi Technopark enables entrepreneurs to realize their ideas through call programs targeting different entrepreneurial profiles. In this context, various opportunities such as the General Call Program, Bright Gen Startup Program, and Portugal Acceleration Program connect with entrepreneurs. Emphasizing that Boğaziçi Technopark provides an ideal environment for innovative projects, General Director Dr. Cem Duran stated: "We are working with determination to expand the boundaries of scientific research and open doors for innovative ideas. We aim to have a strong presence on the national and international stage with programs that will carry entrepreneurs into the future. In this direction, we invite entrepreneurs to join Boğaziçi Technopark and take advantage of the opportunities we offer. We are accepting applications to our General Call and Bright Gen Startup programs until 30 September."
General Call Program addresses every stage of entrepreneurship
Boğaziçi Technopark is opening its doors with the General Call Program for those who wish to join the entrepreneurship ecosystem. The program offers support across a wide range, from ideas in the prototype stage to startups ready to enter the market, and entrepreneurs with completed products or validated markets can benefit with R&D-focused business ideas. Ideal for university graduates and students as well as entrepreneurs planning to build teams, startups gathered within the program scope are evaluated twice a year. Following the evaluation process planned to be completed between 30 September and 4 October this year, program training will begin on 7 October.
Bright Gen Startup Program with TRY 100,000 in support
The Bright Gen Startup Program, organized for Boğaziçi University students, provides a platform for students to realize their innovative ideas. Organized annually, the program aims to instill an entrepreneurial spirit in students while preparing them for the business world. Through training conducted during September-June and a Demo Day to be held in December, selected startups will have the opportunity to implement their projects while receiving professional mentorship support. Three startups selected from among Boğaziçi University students with innovative business ideas will receive TRY 100,000 in annual support, with applications for the 2024 program continuing until 30 September.
Portugal Acceleration Program with training opportunity in Lisbon
Boğaziçi Technopark is bringing entrepreneurs to the European market through cooperation with Yapı Kredi FRWRD. Within the scope of the Portugal Acceleration Program, specifically designed for Turkish entrepreneurs and whose pre-application period was completed in August, 8 selected startups will have the opportunity to present themselves to the international arena at Web Summit in November, reaching more than 70,000 participants. Entrepreneurs participating in the program will have the opportunity to develop themselves through various training sessions as well as mentorship support within the acceleration program.
