Aksa Enerji has signed a landmark agreement supporting its investments in Africa. The company has signed a credit facility agreement totalling USD 150 million with Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), a leading development finance institution on the African continent, positioning itself to make a strong contribution to Africa's energy transition and sustainable development.

Under the agreement, AFC will provide financial support for use in Aksa Enerji's natural gas-fired power plant projects. This partnership stands out not only as cooperation between two strong institutions, but also as a tangible manifestation of deepening economic and strategic cooperation between Turkey and Africa.

AFC's international financial experience, strong capital structure and risk mitigation mechanisms, combined with Aksa Enerji's established expertise, specialist human resources and global operational capability, will further strengthen Africa's energy supply security and accelerate the region's sustainable development and economic growth.

Cemil Kazancı, Chairman and CEO of Aksa Enerji, said in a statement on the matter: "Each investment we undertake in Africa is a strong indicator of both Aksa Enerji's global growth journey and Turkey's deepening economic and strategic cooperation with Africa. This agreement we have signed with Africa Finance Corporation is not merely a financing partnership; it is a concrete step towards strengthening Africa's energy infrastructure through the combination of accumulated knowledge, technical expertise and shared vision. By bringing together Aksa Enerji's proven infrastructure implementation capability in Asia and Africa with AFC's financial and structural capacity, we believe we will implement lasting, sustainable and exemplary projects on the African continent."
