Inspired by welders' world

More than 35 years ago, 3M visited Swedish shipyards to examine welders' working conditions and observed that experienced welders were constantly lowering and raising their welding masks to protect themselves from the blinding flashes that occur during welding. 3M began developing its welding protection product range inspired by insights from the welders' world. 3M continues to develop state-of-the-art welding protection solutions today.
