The İzocam Student Competition, themed "Urban Context and Design," will hold its final in Milan. Projects are expected to be prepared in line with the "Milan2030" vision, which is based on sustainable growth and improved quality of life in Milan, the city targeted to become the future's young and dynamic urban center. The Student Competition, which determines a different theme each year, is holding its 19th edition this year. The city selected as the competition subject is Milan. The rejuvenation and revitalization of the Crescenzago metro station area by connecting it to the city in line with the #milan2030 vision forms this year's competition theme. The competition, conducted in an "From Idea to Project" format, is open to all university students studying in any faculty and department. All processes are carried out through the competition's website. The competition consists of two stages. In the first step, students are expected to create a vision for the sustainable development and future of the Crescenzago metro station area in line with the #milan2030 vision. Additionally, competitors are asked to develop architectural design ideas taking into account regional conditions and the city's development, and to transform these ideas into preliminary projects. In this first stage of the competition, participants must submit their concept projects to the website by 6 March 2019. Successful projects will advance to the second stage and will receive feedback from the jury to help develop their projects. At the open jury meeting to be held in Istanbul on 1 May 2019, successful projects will compete for ranking. In the second stage, all team members presenting their projects to the jury will receive one-on-one interview-candidate experience as a gift. The top three teams in the national competition will win prizes of TRY 8,000, TRY 6,000 and TRY 4,000 respectively, and will also gain the right to represent Turkey and compete for international awards at the international final to be held in Milan between 5-8 June 2019. The awards for the international stage of the competition are as follows: first prize €1,500, second prize €1,000, third prize €750, and special awards and student awards €500.
