Ömer Gürcan Köseoğlu Appointed CEO of Allianz Trade Türkiye

Ömer Gürcan Köseoğlu, who served as Commercial Director of Allianz Trade Türkiye, has been appointed CEO of Allianz Trade Türkiye. Ahmet Ali Bugay, who previously held the CEO position, has been appointed Regional Strategic Steering and Coordination Director for MMEA within the Allianz Trade global organization.
Ömer Gürcan Köseoğlu, serving as Commercial Director at Allianz Trade Turkey, has been appointed as CEO of Allianz Trade Turkey. Ahmet Ali Bugay, who previously held the CEO position, has been appointed to the position of MMEA Regional Strategic Guidance and Coordination Director within the Allianz Trade global organization.
Allianz Trade announced that Ömer Gürcan Köseoğlu, serving as Commercial Director in its organization in Turkey, will continue as CEO of Allianz Trade Turkey as of 1 February 2026, with expanded responsibilities. Köseoğlu, who will assume the position in Turkey, took over the role from Ahmet Ali Bugay, who was recently appointed as Regional Guidance and Coordination Director to the Allianz Trade global organization.
Köseoğlu, a graduate of the Business Administration Department at Middle East Technical University, completed his MBA at Marmara University. Köseoğlu also strengthened his leadership competencies with certificates including the "Growing Leaders" program offered by INSEAD Executive Education (France & Turkey) and Boğaziçi University's "Digital Communication Program."
Ömer Gürcan Köseoğlu began his career in 1993 following a Management Trainee program in the corporate banking field as a branch manager, and after branch experience at various banks, he took on the role of Corporate Banking Marketing Manager at Demir Bank in 1998, and subsequently served as Corporate Branch Manager at Körfez Bank in 2000. From 2001 onwards, he served as Corporate Banking Director in various senior management positions at Koçbank and subsequently Yapı Kredi Bankası for 15 years following the merger. During the same period, he also undertook consulting responsibility for the implementation of electronic banking and cash management products and applications for Bulbank in Bulgaria and ZabaBank in Croatia of the UniCredit group. Before joining Allianz Trade, he most recently served as Deputy General Manager at Yapı Kredi Moscow Bank in Russia.

Speaking about his appointment as CEO of Allianz Trade Turkey, Köseoğlu said: "I am honored to be considered worthy of the CEO position, along with the role I have undertaken as Commercial Director at Allianz Trade Turkey since December 2015. Taking over this torch from Ahmet Ali Bugay, who has successfully led the CEO position until now, is a source of particular pride for me. During the 10 years I have spent at Allianz Trade, I have worked to contribute to the advancement of our sector. Going forward, with the support we receive from our business partners, customers and employees, we will continue to increase awareness of credit insurance, take our company further forward, and stand by our customers." he said.
